Camp ImpAACt is a specialized program for campers who
use alternative communication methods to interact.
This is a one of a kind program, offered in the Southeast, for children who otherwise might not get a camp experience.
All campers are paired with a trained one-on-one camp counselor for the week
All of our activities are adapted for AAC users to fully participate
Sessions with music, speech, and physical & occupational therapists throughout the week
Camp ImpAACt strives to be a camp where AAC
is how we learn and not what we learn.
"Camp ImpAACt provided a loving, social camp experience for my daughter! She came in every morning with a huge smile on her face!"

"I volunteered with the Ellis School this summer as a one-on-one counselor and I was so impressed by their focus on developing the communication skills of every student, regardless of their ability. I saw tangible improvement in so many of the kids in just a week."
-Maggie, Camp ImpAACt 2017 Counselor
Volunteers are essential to making this a memorable and incredible week! Every type of skill, ability, and talent is needed. We need help both inside and outside of camp week.
